We have created a unique service for companies who are members of an international group and manage cases on behalf of overseas correspondents.
What Doctorcall offers you
Our service is divided between the Greater London area (inside the M25) and the rest of Britain.
Within the Greater London area, we offer you:
- 17 years of operational experience.
- A trusted brand name.
- More than 30 doctors who are all fully qualified, experienced and used to dealing with non-UK patients who may have limited English.
- The only visiting doctor service approved by the Healthcare Commission.
- Visits to homes and hotels arranged day or night, 365 days a year, through our own call centre.
- The doctor will normally arrive within an hour.
- The ability to refer patients rapidly to our network of leading specialists and top hospitals whenever necessary.
- Full medical records and patients' files kept for review according to Healthcare Commission protocols
Rest of Britain
We take the problem off your hands. Each case is assessed by our medical team and the patient is offered the appropriate option:
- An appointment at one of our nationwide network of associate clinics.
- A telephone consultation.
- Referral to hospital.
How the Doctorcall service works
- You call us with the patient's contact details and symptoms.
- You fax through an authorisation letter confirming the details - this acts as a Purchase Order.
- From now on, we keep you informed of progress at each stage so you can check the smooth running of the service, and provide any reassurance the patient needs.
- If the patient is in the Greater London area we arrange a home visit, at any time of the day or night, and telephone the patient to tell them the name of the doctor who will attend them and the arrival time (normally within one hour).
- If the patient is in the rest of the UK, we assess them by telephone and if necessary arrange the appropriate medical treatment - either an appointment at one of our associate clinics or referral to hospital.
- After treatment, full medical records are put on file and a copy is given to the patient.
- If you have an account, we invoice you the pre-agreed price together with proof of the patient's visit or consultation and the medical record. Otherwise you can pay with a credit card at the time of visit.
