Acupuncture has moved from a branch of Chinese medicine which was considered to be alternative medicine in the UK into a complementary practice which is widely used and accepted within Western medicine.  In some cases it transforms peoples’ lives and as a result it is enjoying increasing popularity and acceptance by orthodox medical practitioners.

‘Acupuncture: The World Health Organisation View’, R. H. Bannerman states:  ’Clinical experience shows that acupuncture can treat: gynaecological problems, depression, allergies, dizziness, insomnia, high blood pressure, asthma, irritable bowel syndrome, post-viral fatigue, M.E., smoking, drug addictions and many other conditions.'
