Our service is designed to be seamless: the practice's telephone is diverted to us out of hours, or calls are passed by the receptionist within hours. Our system shows us the practice to which a caller belongs and Doctorcall is then able to provide a service modelled upon that which the patient would expect from their own practice.
Our own staff are on duty in our central London office 24/7 and are able to arrange telephone consultations, or home visits, generally within the hour.
Our service is fully registered with the Healthcare Commission. Consequently, practices we cover are able to be confident that our protocols and standards meet the necessary requirements.
All telephone consultations are recorded, and all consultations are fully documented. A medical report is delivered to the referring GP on the morning of the next working day and, in line with best practice,all patients are referred back to their own GP for follow up.
