The UK Government requires travellers arriving from amber list countries to take a  Day 2 Covid-19 PCR test on Day 2 after arriving in England and Day 8 Covid-19 PCR test on Day 8 and to quarantine until two negative certificates have been received.

Should you wish to leave quarantine early, you can take an optional additional Day 5 PCR test, on day 5 and leave quarantine once a negative certificate has been received.  If you do this, you are still required to complete your Day 8 test as well.  Day 5 tests can be done in our clinics, but we do not offer them as self-collection kits as the results need to be very rapid to make them worthwhile.

You simply order a Day 2&8 bundle, we send a Day 2 PCR kit and a Day 8 PCR kit to your UK address.

Complete the day 2 test following the easy-to-follow instructions.  Activate the test online.  Take the sample to a post office and post it to our laboratory.  The kit comes with a pre-addressed envelope but does not include return postage which you will need to purchase.  We recommend Royal Mail next day delivery in view of postal delays during the pandemic.

Follow the same process with your Day 8 kit on day 8;  this must not be activated before day 8 as that would invalidate it.

Receive your results and certificates, available within one day of receipt of your sample by our laboratory.

  • UK Government-listed and UKAS-approved provider for mandatory day 2 tests.
  • One-day turnaround at the laboratory.
  • Real-Time PCR.
  • CE marked assay approved by Public Health England.

It is your responsibility to check the UK Government updates regarding Red, Amber and Green list countries and regulations at Gov.UK

Individuals must order each kit in their own name. Therefore we have limited order quantities of each product type to one per order.

It is your responsibility to buy the correct test for your travel circumstances.

Doctorcall cannot be held responsible if there are any delays with the postal service which may result in a delay in either you receiving your test or the sample being returned to the lab.

Returning your sample to us is easy. Simply take it to your nearest post office and send it to this address:

FAO Accessioning Lab, Randox Science Park, 30 Randalstown Road, Antrim BT41 4LF

You must pay for the return postage. we recommend Next Day service for quickest results.
