A hepatitis B clear result means you do not have hepatitis B according to the test that you had. You have been tested for hepatis B surface antigen (HBSAg) and a clear result confirms that the virus was not found in your blood. It does not indicate immunity and if you have been vaccinated against hepatitis B and require either immunity testing or vaccination you should book a clinic appointment [link to booking clinic appointment]
Hepatitis B virus is carried in blood and body fluids. It is not caught by spillage of body fluids onto intact skin but can be contracted through cuts or through the cornea.
